Wheeler, Springfield News-Leader LOS ANGELES, California— Missouri State (3-1) routed Long Beach State (1-3) 92-66, in the first round of the Naples Invitational tournament, at the Moe Kent Family Fieldhouse, in Naples, Florida. The Missouri State Bears were up by 30 points at the half, 55-25. Joe Hampton fouled out and scored 15 points plus three rebounds for Long Beach State.
The Bear's defense stopped Long Beach State's offensive combo of Joel Murray and Colin Slater. Off the bench, for Long Beach State, Jadon Jones scored 12 points with four 3-pointers. Long Beach State's bench came up big putting up 37 points.
Missouri State Bear's junior guard, Isiaih Mosley, came off the bench and led all scorers on 10-of-17 shooting, finishing with 23 points.
