LOS ANGELES, California— Long Beach State (2-6) fell to 0-2 at home to Loyola Marymount University (5-3) at The Walter Pyramid. Joel Murray was fouled with 57 seconds to go with a push from behind and the referee refused to call a foul with LMU up 73-69. The no-call in front of the referee's face, perhaps, cheated Long Beach State out of a victory at home. The Beach is now on a two game losing streak.

Joel Murray was Long Beach State's top scorer with 19 and Jordan Roberts had the best all around performance with 13 points, 8 rebounds, and 2 assists.
