LOS ANGELES, California — Long Beach State (5-8, 2-0 Big West) held on to win with T.J. Devin Askew chipped in 18 points for LBSU going 2-0 on it's West Coast Conference road trip. Wainwright tallying 26 points 79-76 on the road against Pepperdine (5-7, 0-0 West Coast). LBSU's bench play was the X-factor for the match at 41-9 with 26 points being credited to Wainwright.
The Waves had two players with double-doubles, Mou Odom put up 14 points with 11 boards and Boubacar Coulibaly added 11 points and 11 rebounds. Pepperdine's Stefan Todorovic led all scorers with 32 points.
Long Beach State is undefeated at 2-0 all-time against Pepperdine with their first match played during the 2018-2019 season.
