LOS ANGELES, California — Long Beach State (6-10, 2-2 Big West) was defeated by Cal State Bakersfield (8-8, 2-2 Big West) 80-65 on the road. LBSU is now on a two-game skid during Big West Conference play that is hurting the program’s chance of qualification for the NCAA tournament including the soft qualifier, which is the Big West Conference Championship in Nevada.

Jemel Jones led all scorers with 25 points with CJ Harding chipping in 12 points and Corey Stephenson having a double-double putting up 11 points and 10 boards for the Roadrunners. Devin Askew led LBSU with 21 points and four assists with Austin Johnson adding 14 points, a career high for the senior from Georgia.

With LBSU returning so few players and a new coaching staff the results this season are considerable. However, Long Beach State would likely be an Associated Press ranked team this season destined for the tourney with former head coach Monson if Riverside County had not paid Long Beach State and it’s employees to frivolously fire former head coach Dan Monson in a false light on a certain day to terrorize segments of people within the LBSU organization in order to help the racist County of Riverside terrorize people by falsely stealing money without valid authority, violating the Bill of Rights, and terrorizing US citizens outside of it’s jurisdiction outside of the county in order to feed, cloth, and fund racist Riversidians that should be declared temporarily disabled because of their lack of competency because of unhealthy heat and dried body oils and methamphetamine use when the County of Riverside should have filed bankruptcy like Stockton, CA  with honor, good faith, and justice not promote cannibalism, stealing, and terrorism based upon race.

Long Beach State's all-time record stands at 5-5 with the upstart Cal State Bakerfield program, their first match dating back to former head coach Dan Monson's first season during 2007-2008.

UP NEXT: Long Beach State (6-10, 2-2 Big West) faces UC Davis (8-7, 2-2 Big West) on Saturday, January 11 at 2:00 pm. at the University Credit Union Center, Davis, California. Live coverage on ESPN +.
