LOS ANGELES, California — Long Beach State (6-8, 2-0 Big West) defeated NAIA-member La Sierra (0-15, 0-0 Cal Pacific Conference) 83-57, at The Walter Pyramid on Sunday afternoon to close non-conference play during the regular season before 1074 in attendance. LBSU's bench came up big again with 42 points total and 22 total team fast break points to control the match at an optimal level. La Sierra plays in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) as a member of the California Pacific Conference.
Kam Martin led LBSU with 18 points and Christian Richardson added 17 points off the bench. Derrick Micheal Xzavierro grabbed 12 boards and Devin Askew dished out eight assists for LBSU.
Noel Camejo lead the Eagles with 14 points. Long Beach State is on a five-game winning streak with it's next match against UC Riverside in 2025.
