LOS ANGELES, California — Long Beach State (7-8, 1-2) snaped a two-game losing streak on the road against Cal State Northridge (3-11, 0-3), 84-74. LBSU led by double-digits at the half, however high field goal shooting and outrebounding resulted in the Big West Conference win at Premier America Credit Union Arena.
The Matadors had four players scoring in double digits, but there was not a tied score or lead change for the match. Dionte Bostick led all scorers with 22 points and Fidelis Okereke had a double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds.
Joel Murray led Long Beach State with 20 points including eight critical free throw shots. Lassina Traore had a double-double with 15 points as well as 16 rebounds and Aboubacar Traore also had a double-double 12 points and 10 rebounds.
Long Beach State holds a 4-3 all-time record against Cal State Northridge.
