LOS ANGELES, California -- Long Beach State (17-14, 11-8) honored senior Joel Murray before the match began. Joel Murray transferred from Texas A&M and scored 2418 points total with both universities. LBSU dominated it's last home game of the season early with a 38-20 lead at the half being down by as many as 20 points. CSU Bakersfield (10-20, 6-13) had a low shooting percentage during the first half due to an accurate fastbreak offense at Walter Pyramid before 1480 in attendance.
The Roadrunners had considerable success in the second half, with a big run late in the half with solid three-point shooting from Cedquavious Hunter who led CSU Bakersfield with 17 points with three players scoring in double figures. Travis Henson put up 14 points and Antavion Cottum chipped in with 10 points.
Long Beach State had five players scorings in double figures with Lassina Traore leading all scorers with 20 points and 11 rebounds, his 16th double-double of the regular season.
