LOS ANGELES, California — Long Beach State University beat Big Sky Conference opponent Sacramento State (2-4) 83-73 at the Walter Pyramid before 1815 in attendance. Long Beach State (5-4) was led by Jadon Jones who all scorers with 24 points along with Lassina Traore's double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds. Sacramento State led early in the first half by six points before LBSU took the lead in the first half and dominated the tempo for the rest of the match.
Brandon Betson led the Hornets with 17 points and Zee Hamoda chipped in 15 points. LBSU had 23 assists and only turned the ball over eight times.
