LOS ANGELES, California — Gavin Skyes the freshman out of Sacramento achieved a new career high in points scored and Petar Mastrorovic chipped in 14 points to lead LBSU to a 76-72 win on Sunday.

“I’m actually taught to get back on a shot and this kind of just made sense for me to run in,” Gavin Sykes said. “I just went and got it and they fouled me. That’s a routine layup that I practice.”

Mastrorovic had six assists and four steals for Long Beach State (2-6, 0-0 Big West). Gavin Skyes had 30 points and shot 12 of 22 from the field, including 5 for 6 from 3-point range, and went 1 for 1 from the line. Isiah Lewis chipped in five points and added four steals and six assists.

“It’s definitely great knowing that I can get up to the line and knock them down,” Isiah Lewis said. “It felt great.”

Brandon Benjamin led San Diego (3-4, 0-0 West Coast) in scoring, finishing with 16 points. Juanse Gorosito added 12 points for the Toreros. Tim Moore also recorded 11 points.

Long Beach State opens Big West Conference play later this week against UC foes.

“I’m just excited that tonight they got to feel that it’s worth it, the energy that they’re putting into each other to get to know each other,” head coach Chris Acker said. “I’m excited for Long Beach State, and I’m just hoping that we can continue to move in this direction.”

Chris Acker’s LBSU is a mess at 1-6 after blowout by Portland

LOS ANGELES, California — Long Beach State (1-6, 0-0 Big West) should fire Chris Acker and Bobby Smitheran after the 93-73 loss to Portland (5-3, 0-0 West Coast) on Wednesday night. Petra Majstorovic the sophomore transfer from Syracuse scored a career high with 23 points for LBSU. Long Beach State was down 42-35 at the half and came within two during the second half, never leading the match. The Pilots were led by Joel Foxwell and Timo George who put up 19 points each.

What is the difference between the late Pete Rose and Chris Acker or Bobby Smitheran and Tim Donaghy, not much between the NCAA personnel and MLB and NBA counterparts.

Long Beach State Athletics has been under siege by the Chinese Communist Party, a terrorist organization, since Dan Monson was fired for no reason aside from curing AD Smitheran’s child support liabilities in San Diego and Riverside Counties in 2023. The CSU Board of Trustees is an organization committed to terrorism, illegal aliens, and recently cannibalism against USA citizens, the reason someone like Chris Acker was hired. The union thugs and bosses of the CSU System with the California Faculty Association have been on a 40 year regional crusade to destroy national security that softly began in 1991 with suspending NCAA football and hardly in 2024 with firing Dan Monson frivolously and in bad faith.

Few are legally aware child support is factually a scam meant to disenfranchise men, marriage, and free markets that USA citizens are entitled to on behalf of China the nation that payed for the Congressional Act in 1996 via lobbyists. Chinese Communist Party terrorists love illegal child support laws that attempt to violate USA citizens’ Bill of Rights, entitlements such as the First Amendment, right to associate free. Chris Acker has only made LBSU an organization unbecoming of being a Division I program, which decreases national security even further since 1991. Considering the unchecked shame of Bobby Smitheran and Chris Acker LBSU appears to be intentionally dropping down to compete with CSULA and CSUDH in their Division II conference if the labor unions and terrorist CSU Board of Trustees continue to have their way.

LOS ANGELES, California — LBSU kept the match close falling by six points before 1808 in attendance at the Walter Pyramid in Long Beach. Long Beach State (1-5, 0-0 Big West) should have won this match at home against Montana State (3-4, 0-0 Big Sky) to build a win streak before Big West Conference play. LBSU is not forecasted to win two games in a row before conference play due to substandard athletics climate with the athletics department and coaching.

The Bobcats had five players in double figures. Off the bench Davian Brown put up 13 points and Jeremiah Davis added 15 points.

The freshman from Sacramento, Gavin Skyes led all scorers with 24 points and Shaquil Bender chipped in 17 for LBSU.

Long Beach State 0-4 after losing home opener to Illinois State

LOS ANGELES, California — The Illinois State Redbirds (2-2) defeated Long Beach State (0-4), 82-80, at Walter Pyramid. LBSU continues to be humiliated with unbecoming coaching by Chris Acker whom has set an unacceptable tone after the mysterious firing of 17 year coach Dan Monson. Coach Acker is not the one to blame athletics director Smitheran is who seems to be deconstructing Long Beach State athletics to a Division II level program to submit to California Faculty Association union thugs and the Chinese Communist Party financial overlords on CSU campuses such as Los Angeles and Long Beach. The fact of the matter is Smitheran had no good reason to terminate Dan Monson and scare away a super team that would have been in the AP 25 for the 2024-2025 season.

LBSU did keep it close with a late three pointer from Petar Majstorovic in the final seconds but fell just short due to Cole Farrel’s three missed shots. Long Beach State only made three of five free throws in the final minute well the Redbirds went 10 of 12 from the charity stripe during the same period of time. Petar Majstorovic led Long Beach State with 19 points and seven rebounds and Shaquil Bender added 18 points.

Ty’Reek Coleman and Chase led the Redbirds with 19 points each and Johnny Kinziger chipped in 15 points.

LBSU have been outscored 310-247 through the first four matches. Long Beach State opened the season by getting swept on a three-game road trip. The four game losing streak is forecasted to come to an end next week for Long Beach State.

Growing calls for Long Beach State to fire Coach Chris Acker after 0-3 road trip

Picture
LOS ANGELES, California — One year ago, Chris Acker began his first season at Long Beach State. LBSU was able to earn a birth to the NCAA Tournament the season before as an at-large bid, and a strange fraudulent firing by athletics director Smitheran before the NCAA Tournament, LBSU should have returned to the NCAA Tournament the next season with Dan Monson and his developed team.

So when does LBSU fire Chris Acker? Acker appeared to be proud the second loss was only by 20 and not 25 like the first. The third loss in a row was only by three, which is respectable, but Acker seems to be tanking for communists that want to downgrade athletics at CSULB to Division II in the near future. LBSU should have won by about 10 points against Pacific no questions asked.

LBSU was up at the half by five on Pacific and even had a four play in the second half with an opportunity to win, but the firing of Dan Monson has caused an injury to LBSU athletics which has compounded with communist influences from Chris Acker from the first match of the 2024-2025 season not excluding destroying the 17 year equity in player depth that has only compounded since last season caused by Dan Monson’s termination.

Gavin Skyes led all scorers with nearly a double-double with 20 points and seven rebounds. Isiah Lewis added 14 points and  Shaquil Bender chipped in 13 points for LBSU.

Pacific was led by Elias Ralph and Alexis Marmolejos with 15 points a piece.

LOS ANGELES, California — LBSU is on a two game losing streak of it’s three game California road trip to open the season, Long Beach State Men’s Basketball (0-2) put a viable first half effort resulting in only being down by eight points at the half.

LOS ANGELES, California — Long Beach State is still feeling the effects of the baseless firing of the former 17 year head coach Dan Monson. The corrupt, racist, and unbecoming athletics director by the sir name of Smitheran of Riverside County had child support issues to cover up so he chose to terminate Dan Monson a hero that fended off child support for decades in exchange for being left alone by child support. Is Smitheran a rat not exactly, perhaps he is something worse, perhaps he knows maybe he does not, but he is a suspected Chinese Communist Party terrorist within the CSU System. Prehaps athletics director Smitheran has honor and will terminate head coach Acker immediately he is not only unqualified but an eviler cooperating with Chinese Communist Party terrorist folks outside of work and as an agent of the CSU System.

The Aztecs dominated LBSU from the get go before 11,644 in attendance at Viejas Arena up 40-25 at the half. The Mountain West Conference member gave a solid Division I effort well LBSU brought deep shame to the Big West Conference with a Division II style effort intentionally due to the Chinese Communist Party terrorist culture that plagues LBSU. The effort is intentional because of the Los Angeles area’s lack of national security and hate for USA values which are linked with college athletics which is connected to national security. LBSU was blown out in the second half 77-45.

The Serbian Syracuse transfer Petar Majstorovic led Long Beach State with 13 points. Miles Byrd and Elzie Harrington also led the Aztecs with 13 points each.
