Utah Valley University does not seem to be an institution with its manners and ethics in order without NCAA football ever well lacking patriotism and honor with a $20 million soccer stadium, which is too radical of institution to welcome to the Big West Conference given the state it hails from. Right wing Republican Utahns prefer a NCAA football stadium and program before a sky high priced soccer stadium all but a high crime and domestic terror in the great state of Utah not to have it’s football business in order given it’s desert climate is about the same as Los Angeles, California. Not to claim a soccer stadium is unnecessary, but absolutely a secondary behind football no question.
On the other hand California Baptist seems to be a moral and upstanding institution to welcome to the Big West Conference and given its enrollment football is something that maybe too costly and not possible exactly given the climate of it’s location less a costly indoor practice facility and on campus stadium.
Big West Conference members Cal State Fullerton, Cal State Northridge, and Long Beach State are overdue and perhaps should cease membership in Division IA athletics if they continue to have suspended football programs. Suspended NCAA football at Cal State LA, Cal State Northridge, and Long Beach State has made the national security of Los Angeles County so low compounded by the Los Angeles military base closure in the 1990s that make it a duty to bring back football at the Division IA programs at minimum or perhaps cancellation of Division IA athletics and redistribution of funds to military science for safety would be best on each campus in lieu of NCAA football on the flip side. Cal State Fullerton and Cal State Northridge in particular have no excuse because they have stadiums on campus and practice facilities ready to startup and launch immediately. Long Beach State needs an on campus stadium and perhaps Cal State LA should have Division I athletics given its enrollment and would need the works of a practice facility, stadium, and Division I expansion of athletics or could compete at Division II as well but there only two active California programs at that level today.
The Big West Conference ceased sponsorship of football after the year 2000. The culture of the Big West Conference needs a 360 on NCAA football not Utah Valley University and it’s bad faith anti-American athletics policy.
