Before 3,866 at the Walter Pyramid, Long Beach State, ran the ball and should have won by 20, but ended up defeating Boise State 72-62. To Boise's defense they have been on a long road trip and had two monster unanswered runs of 11-0 & 9-0. The 49ers dominated from the beginning, looking more like a top-25 team with each game this season.
T.J. Robinson had a monster night scoring 18 points and grabbing 13 rebounds, to became the all time leader in rebounds for Long Beach State. Larry Anderson and Casper Ware had bad offensive performances overall. James Ennis dropped 16 points and dished out 6 assists, for a strong performance. Its not a matter of if but, when the 49ers offensive machine comes together I can't picture many teams that will be able to slow the 49ers down including, #7 Louisville who is up on the 49er's plate this Monday.
For now Coach Dan Monson is really only worried about Montana, due to the fact Montana is projected to win the Big Sky Conference. Last night's game was great because it established the fact that not just Casper Ware and Larry Anderson can score and beat you, T.J. Robinson and James Ennis will beat you too! The 49ers need to focus on improving two things team defense and turnover ratio.
